This song represents a number of firsts.

This is the first song I've ever produced entirely on Linux, specifically Ubuntu Studio.

This is also the first song I've ever written using Ardour as my DAW.

This is also the first song where I've been able to use a fully mapped INTEGRA instrument outside of Sonar, making it useful for composition again. I had to write a tool for that.

This is also the first song I've ever produced where I used a full-sized weighted action MIDI controller to write it. I can really feel the difference.

All in all, this song is the first time I've felt that Linux could be a meaningful music production platform.

It feels like I have a place to write music again.
