Cakewalk Sonar
Cakewalk Sonar is the DAW that I used from around 2005 to... 2018? In other words, I used Cakewalk Sonar forever, for everything.
Things got murky late in the game. Roland sold off Cakewalk to Gibson? Who decided to shut Cakewalk down? Then sold it to BandLab?
Now Cakewalk has some kind of online version. I don't understand it anymore. It didn't feel like a long-term proposal anymore, and Cakewalk had always tied me to Windows anyway, so it was time to go. I exported my remaining songs as MIDIs and left it for good in 2018.
